Neungdong Minari Seongsu is a hidden gem nestled in the bustling heart of Seongdong-gu, Seoul. Contrary to initial impressions of being overly touristy, the restaurant serves up authentic Korean flavors that have won the hearts of many patrons. The standout dish here is undoubtedly the minari gomtang, a soothing beef soup that offers a delicate balance of flavor, especially when complemented by the accompanying sauces and pickled radish kimchi. Customers like Eddie Pak and Jeffrey C rave about the mineral-rich broth, while others appreciate the light, comforting nature of the soup, noting its refreshing quality.
Another highlight is the Yukhoe Bibimbap, featuring tender beef tartare that shines as the centerpiece, crowned with a medley of pickled vegetables. Sarah C's account mentions its distinction, while Tere emphasizes the refreshing taste perfect for warmer days. Despite mixed opinions on the premium onion beef brisket soup—deemed somewhat bland by some—it’s clear that the efficiency of service and the quick-moving lines enhance the dining experience. Overall, Neungdong Minari Seongsu is not just a meal but an exploration of flavors, making it a must-visit for anyone in Seoul seeking genuine Korean cuisine.

Reviews for Neungdong Minari Seongsu
Review highlights
Based on 168 reviewsNeungdong Minari Seongsu is widely praised for its signature minari gomtang and yukhoe bibimbap, which are noted for their refreshing, light yet flavorful qualities. The restaurant’s efficient service and relatively quick turnover despite frequent lines contribute positively to the overall dining experience. Many appreciate the assortment of pickled vegetables that accompany the bibimbap, enhancing its appeal. However, some diners find the broth on the milder side, with opinions varying between appreciating its subtlety and finding it somewhat bland. The egg-battered beef patties and beef pancakes are also highlighted as distinctive and well-executed menu items. Overall, the establishment is regarded as a worthwhile stop for those seeking authentic and satisfying Korean comfort food in Seongsu.
I thought this place was going to be mega touristy and mediocre bc it's right in the middle of Seongsu's mayhem. But the minari gomtang is excellent! And the egg battered beef patties are great. Go a little before (or after) meal times to avoid the long lines. Good stuff!
The lineup moved quick they were very efficient. The bibimbap with beef tartare was the star of the show. All the pickled veggies with it was fantastic. The premium onion beef brisket soup with rice just wasn't my thing. My fiance enjoyed the light broth flavour but I felt it was extremely bland but that's a personal taste. Not to say others won't enjoy it. The bibimbap is a must though!
We chanced upon this place by sheer luck. There was hardly a queue, we waited maybe 10mins to get a seat. We had the premium minari brisket gomtang and the yukhoe bibimbap. The food was served very quickly and service was good. The soup was refreshing and light but full flavored. The bibimbap was so interesting and flavorful. You must try this place.
Delicious Minari Beef Soup. The broth is superb. Tried both the one with Minari and the plain beef broth. Both are good. The beef pancake is quite special. The queue moves quite fast so queuing isn’t a problem.
The third times we walked through this place, there’s always a line but this time it was short so we decided to wait, with two groups in front of us, the waiting time was 10 minutes We got Minari Gomtang and Yukhoe Bibimbap. The soup itself was mild, husband said it was bland for his palate, which I agreed, the thing is, you need to eat it with the sauce they provide, together with the radish kimchi (it was on a metal container in every table), then it will be a comforting dish I personally recommend the Yukhoe Bibimbap, so good!! Fresh, cold, slightly sweet, with a strong sesame oil aroma, it was just right for summer days. If you love salad then this might be the best option, very refreshing
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Neungdong Minari Seongsu is the second location of the beloved minari-themed Korean restaurant, now open 24 hours a day in the hip Seongsu neighborhood. Just a 5-minute walk from Seongsu Station (Exit 4), this spot blends retro Korean charm with a sleek, modern interior across two spacious floors. Popular dishes -Minari Gomtang: A warm beef soup with rice and fresh minari on top. Light and comforting. -Yukhoe Bibimbap: Raw beef mixed with soy sauce, rice, and minari. Tasty and not spicy. -Boiled Pork (Suyuk): Soft pork slices, great for sharing.
What a fabulous restaurant. Gomtang heavily laden with minari and the yukhoe raw beef with minari were both very unique and totally delicious! Well worth the queue
Neungdong Minari serves unique rice and noodle dishes featuring Hanwoo beef and Korea vegetable, minari. Most dishes feature a clear broth made from Hanwoo beef and one of the signature dish features high quality raw tartare like Hanwoo beef on a rice bowl. We opted for extra meat but a few cuts and slices definitely have more gristle and fat than I expected. Still very flavorful and there are two levels of seating so the place, which can be busy, does have quick turnover. Very casual seating with quick service. Walk ins accepted. Dining is all indoor and credit cards are accepted. Very popular and young neighborhood to walk in with plenty of clothing shops and dessert options after dinner.
